Human Cloning

My current interest on the specific area about bioethics is "human cloning" because I had a little discussion about it in the ARW class.

When you hear the word "human cloning", what image do you have in your mind? Do you agree with it or not?

As for me, firstly I think that it is not good to apply that technology to humans, since there can be some problems. I can understand that it should be permitted only in the use of helping people because the technology seems very useful and helpful when it is used properly, however; I think that it will surely be used in a bad way if we allow the exception.

In the next submission, I would like to write about the possible problems which I can come up with when the technology is used in the wroing way.

Hi Chiyuki,
Yes, human cloning is very interesting and it is now developing further more.
When I hear the word human cloning, negative image comes up in my mind as well.
I mean what is cloned person's personality? What is their identity. Maybe thinking about these question is not good for people who have been clone, because they are living as they are if cloning is legally permitted.
If I were cloned, I do not think I can feel confident with myself. I would be thinking about who I am, why I was needed, who made decision to 'create' me.
As I read Silver I feel like people demand cloning to be perfect. People feel that they are creating human beings who is useful (maybe not right word) for someone.
However,is perfect human always good? Can we say that?

Sorry for the long and confusing comment!!
But discussing about it will be very interesting.

Sorry but my comment was too late!

I discussed deeply about cloning in both ARW and RCA class. Someone said cloning is necessary in terms of medical purposes but others said it can make people think of life as less valuable, something that can easily be made.

One thing that is true is any topic concerned bioethics is very sensitive. But we should confront the topic because we ourselves have our lives.
